From Campus to Career: NWEA Inspires Future Water Professionals
Building the next generation of Nevada's water leaders starts with meaningful connections. As part of NWEA's ongoing university outreach efforts, Aaron Kraft, NWEA President, recently visited the UNLV NWEA Student Chapter to discuss careers, leadership opportunities, and the importance of professional engagement within the water industry. Students learned how NWEA supports water and wastewater professionals through education, training, volunteering, networking, and leadership development, while also gaining exposure to the many career opportunities available across utilities, consulting firms, regulatory agencies, technology providers, and research organizations.

The presentation emphasized that NWEA is more than a professional association. It is a community where students can build relationships, find mentors, develop leadership skills, and begin creating the professional networks that will support them throughout their careers. NWEA looks forward to continuing its partnership with UNLV and helping inspire students to become active contributors to Nevada's water future.
