2024 Water Palooza!

This year's Water Palooza Event was hosted at Katherine Dunn Elementary School in Sparks, NV. Students ranging from kindergarten all the way to 5th grade had the chance to spend some time learning about water with our many professionals.

Activities for this year's event included:

Learning about our treatment system and water balloon tosses to understand the importance of water conservation and protecting the resource with Truckee Meadows Water Reclamation Facility (TMWRF).

Building a PVC pipe system in order to carry the marbles (i.e. water) into the bucket (i.e. reservoir, treatment system, etc.) with Jacobs.

Keeping the balls (grime) out of the bucket (water supply) with City of Sparks.

Experimenting with water filtration with Carollo.

Learning about the importance of clean water with City of Reno.

Learning about Nevada waterways with Truckee Meadows Regional Planning Agency (TMRPA).

Big Thank You to all our volunteers who helped make this happen!
