2020 Virtual Conference

10-27-2020 - 11-05-2020

The Nevada Water Environment Association is excited to announce the virtual conference in lieu of the live annual conference which was cancelled due to the pandemic. The virtual conference will be held on four separate days with a 2-hour webinar style online program each day from 9:00 to 11:00 am. The dates are: October 27, 29, November 3, 5, 2020.  Registrants have the opportunity to register for either one or more days or all four days of the conference. Earn CEUs towards licensure, learn about the latest developments in your field, and participate in the discussions - all without even leaving your seat!

The program for this virtual conference includes abstracts and speakers selected for the annual conference. High quality abstracts with focused content that fits the virtual conference are scheduled for presentations in this program. See below for a detailed agenda and please use the link to register for this event.

The regulations were drafted by NDEP in cooperation with the Certification Board. NDEP is hopeful that the revisions will be adopted sometime in March or April.

Nikita Lingenfelter

Executive Board Officers

He is registered as a Professional Engineer in Nevada and has previously worked for a land development firm, general contractor and state regulatory agency. He currently works at Clark County Water Reclamation District in Development Services.

Dr. Krishna Pagilla is a Professor and Environmental Engineering Program Director at the University of Nevada, Reno. He is also the Director of Nevada Water Innovation Campus at UNR.

Jake moved to Nevada in 2008 and became active with the NWEA Executive Board attending meetings and co-established the collection system committee and workshops.
Jake Jacobson
Casey is an engineer at the Truckee Meadows Water Reclamation Facility. He holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering, a Master’s of Public Administration from the University of Nevada, Reno and is a registered Professional Engineer in Nevada.
Casey Mentzer
Kamrun is a native Nevadan with a B.S. in Civil Engineering and M.S. in Civil & Environmental Engineering from UNR. Kamrun is currently an Environmental Engineer with Stantec. Since joining Stantec in 2018, he has been involved in a wide range of drinking water, municipal wastewater, and industrial wastewater treatment projects.

Clayton is happily married with one toddler and another on the way. While building his family he is also doing whatever he can to build his career in wastewater.
Clayton Coon
Nikita is an enthusiastic member of the NWEA board. She has been working for the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection for almost 10 years. She started working for the Bureau of Air Pollution Control - Carson City Office in 2016.
