New Contract with NDEP
The Nevada Water Environment Association (NWEA) has entered into a contract with the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection (NDEP) to continue administering the State of Nevada’s mandatory certification program for Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators (WTPO). The only change affecting the WTPOs is that all testing applications, renewal applications, and associated fees must now be submitted to the NDEP office in Carson City. NDEP will forward the applications to NWEA’s Certification Board for review and processing the same as before. Certification fees are not changing. NDEP and NWEA will make every effort to make this transition as smooth as possible.
